Côtes du Luberon

The Cotes du Luberon appellation is along the northern and southern slopes of the Luberon mountain range. The vines receive the benefit of the mistral as well as the sun, much as the Southern Cotes du Rhone does. The grape varieties are the same as those of the Southern Rhone as well.

J et R imports from this excellent Cotes du Luberon estate:

J et R Selections is the primary importer of this important Cotes du Luberon domaine. Robert Parker says Chateau de l'Isolette is "one of the finest estates in the appellation, with smooth stylish but sturdy and deep wines with textures soft enough for current enjoyment with ageworthy prestige cuvees." The 1992 rouge Prestige was a gold medal and awarded best of show of all French wines at the prestigious 1994 Paris wine fair.

Deep, enticing nose of black cherry, olives and herbs de Provence. Broad and expansive flavors are a veritable table of delights- black fruits, roasted meats, olives and cocoa to name just a few. Round and textured, with a lengthy finish flashing ample tannins that promise good aging potential. Elegance and style in a muscular, well-built package.
