Pouilly-Fuissé 1999

Rich and complex, very balanced with a long follow-through. Tastings [86 rating]: "Highly Recommended." 100% chardonnay from old vines (40+ years). Aged in oak for up to a year, with some new oak.

Pouilly-Fuissé Vignes Blanches 1999

From the best hectare of the appellation. After aeration, a nose of vanilla with mineral scents; expressive, full, powerful, and unctuous on the tongue. A complex wine, rich, with very long follow-through.

A Guide Hachette one star [* rating]: "This cuvee is distiguished by its fullness and complexity. For a beautiful lobster in 1 or 2 years." 100% chardonnay from old vines (50+ years). Aged in oak for a year.

Pouilly-Vinzelles 2000

Guide Hachette: "Very light white gold, it announces with fanfare, from the first bouquet its aging in fut, then after it breathes florale and fruited nuances emere. Same on the palate, dominated by notes of wood but all the same agreeable substance. To wait 2 or 3 years for the wood and wine to reach equilibrium."

Pouilly-Vinzelles 1999

Fermented then aged in oak foudres for 8 months. A wine fruite and aromatic but with good structure. Drinks well young but can be aged for abut 6 years. 100% chardonnay (average age of vines 35 years). 1 hectare (2.4 acres) with southeast exposure on marly, clay-limestone soil, adjacent to AOC Pouilly-Fuisse.

Macon-Prissé cuvée "En Chailloux" 2001

Guide Hachette: "Good representative of the vintage and the particular terroir of Prisse, more limestone than clay. Pale, almost silver-green, offers a bouquet melange of acacia, pear, and fresh butter. Rich and round, the pallet, still lively, expresses agreeable exotic notes. Will reach maturity in 2 or 3 years." Coup de coeur from the Guide Hachette for 2000 vintage. 100% Chardonnay (10 year old vines). No oak.
